Senior Financial CPA
Position Summary Highlights

About cHb
cHb was originally founded as Stewart L Mueller, CPA in September of 1998.  We changed our name to cHb Advisors, LLC in April 2009 in order to clarify our focus on closely held businesses and to move away from the focus on one individual. Our practice is focused on the supporting elements and advisory services to closely held businesses which include assurance services, tax compliance and consulting services, CFO related services, accounting software implementation and support, and other related services.  We believe in the use of technology to strengthen our advisory roles to our clients.  We are a casual work environment (suit up when necessary).    We renewed our five year lease at the PNC Bank building in November of 2011 with an addition of a new conference room, reception area, and server.  Our clients cover various industries and range in size from annual revenues from $2m up to $25 million per year.  We have had continuous growth and look to double our current size in the next 2 to 3 years.  We are looking for excited, energetic individuals to be a part of this opportunity.

Position Responsibilities
The Senior Financial CPA’s primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Supervise staff related to their work on Monthly, Quarterly, Semi Annual, and Annual review of clients’ financial information
  • Supervise suggested adjustments and record upon clients’ approval
  • Supervise updates to supporting work papers
  • Supervise and produce management use, compiled, reviewed and audited financial statements 
  • Use of technology tools to support and resolve client issues
  • Assist existing and new clients with QuickBooks training and support, budgeting and cash flow support, and various other project related support issues. 
  • Responsible for following up on potential client leads related to Accounting & Tax services as well as QuickBooks & Related 3rd party implementations 
  • Responsible for technical knowledge of most current FASB pronouncements and related trends as well as QuickBooks and related software
  • Assist in continually evolving internal and client system efficiencies
  • Direct communication with clients

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • CPA License in Missouri
  • 3 or more years of public accounting experience preferred
  • QuickBooks Pro Advisor or related experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office excel and word
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong research skills and attention to details

The Entry Level Financial Accountant’s primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Prepare Monthly, Quarterly, Semi Annual, and Annual review of clients’ financial information
  • Create suggested adjustments and record upon clients’ approval
  • Update supporting workpapers
  • Produce management use, compiled, reviewed and audited financial statements 
  • Assist existing and new clients with QuickBooks training and support, budgeting and cash flow support, and various other project related support issues
  • All training will be one on one with proper review and follow-up to strengthen your career growth
  • Our current size allows us to have specialties with minors.  All of our positions are crossed trained to encourage familiarity with others responsibilities.
    • Note that this position has a minor in technology, which includes QuickBooks and Excel support for new and existing customers. We readily implement accounting software for leads we obtain through the pro advisor web site.  Training will be provided.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • CPA exam eligible
  • 0 – 1 year of public accounting experience
  • Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
  • Written and verbal communication skills
